I’m not sure if anyone will read this, to be honest 😉 I neglected this blog for a long time. At the beginning of the new year, I really want to get back to it. First of all, I want to have my own place online, where I can share what I think. Also, I want to create more, not only consume other people’s content. I want to fill that I’m making something for myself, not only work, eat, entertain myself, repeat.

During my stay in Hanoi, I visited a couple of different places. But first I’d like to talk a little bit about what kind of traveler I am so that it’s clear why I make certain choices while I travel.
It’s already been quite a while since I arrived in Vietnam, but I haven’t posted anything about it. My first stop in Vietnam was the capital, Hanoi, and I wanted to tell you about some of my first impressions.

So as you may know, for some time I have been teaching English in a training center in Nanjing. Even though I was a student with a student visa, I could work because I applied for a work-study visa. A while back a couple of my friends and I went for a one-day trip to Tongli (同里) – a town located in Wujiang District of Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province. It is an old town, supposedly one of the six most famous old towns of Jiangnan.
Recently, I went for a two-day trip to Wuhu, a city in Anhui Province. I had been wanting to get out of Nanjing for quite some time, but I had been busy with graduation and all that stuff. So when I decided that it was a good moment to finally go somewhere for two days, I started checking places around Nanjing on the map to see what can be visited nearby. I had already visited most of best-known cities of Jiangsu, so I searched for a place with some kind of a park or a mountain and then checked if the train ticket or hotel prices weren’t too pricey for me. Wuhu seemed to meet the requirements because it only takes 40 minutes to reach it from NJ by high-speed train and the train ticket is around 30 yuan.
This is a simple recipe for buckwheat bread. It only has one basic ingredient and doesn’t require much more (unless you want to add more). On top of that, since it’s made from buckwheat, it’s ideal for people who can’t or don’t want to consume gluten.
